My favorite class this week was my computer applications class. We started PowerPoint^? this week and I love PowerPoint^?. I have only used it a couple of times throughout my high school career, but now that I have started it again, learning how to do everything, it is a lot of fun. It is real practical too, because you can do many things with it. It is a good way of pitching ideas and presentations to a company because it is a visual aid and it has a note capability on it, so you can take notes as you are creating your presentation.

1. So far this term I have looked up journals for my Archaeology paper that I am going to write here in a couple of days. I have gone to Google to find some journals, and also Western Oregon University’s library online. I have found what I need to write my paper. 2. The major benefits of online research are that you can find almost everything that you need. In high school, I had to write a Critical Research Paper, for my history class and I found a major piece of my paper right on Google. You can get to so many archives and sites by using online research. To me, I don’t think there is anything wrong with online research. For me, it’s at home and I don’t have to go to the library which to me is limited. I know many of the items on Google and other research site are wrong, but if you go to the right ones, then it is all good.

This week, my boyfriend Blake, goes to Washington State University came down to visit me for Veteran’s Day weekend! I was so excited. I haven’t seen him in so long. While he was here, I showed him around and went to the WOU football game. It’s nothing like WSU COUGS football game, but it was football. Unfortunately UPS lost, which is our home town, but it was a victory for WOU (Go Wolves). He left today, Sunday to go back to WSU. It was so good seeing him. I can’t wait for Thanksgiving. 1. I have used the internet research for my personal use. I do it about almost everyday. Most of the time I am just bored and I need something to look up, so I will look up who is in town for concerts, or movies that just came out. I got my ticket for the midnight showing of Harry Potter online, at Fandango. I have also gotten concert tickets online. 2. I did grow up with the internet in my home. My mother uses it all the time at home for everything. She used it to get my used car and she also orders almost everything from online. I got it from her basically.
