Part A:

This week was quite an experience when I found out that professors actually do make mistakes. In one of my classes our teacher was giving a midterm, and on the review he informed us that we were able to use our notes. However when we entered our class this past Thursday he seemed shocked and confused. He even asked why we had brought our book and notes. In this predicament he had to let us use our notes, and now looking back the mistake was very much appreciated. On my midterm I received an A.

Part B:

The girls in my hall have become relatively close over the past six weeks. We share stories and have many things to discuss. Last night we stayed up well past midnight, talking about “The New York Times”. Although everyone has expressed their hatred towards Freshman Academy, it was refreshing having an educated conversation between my peers. It brings me confidence knowing that people my age can form their own opinions, and that they do care about the world around them. To be honest, this is the first time I have felt that I was in a university atmosphere.
