TWiki's Main Features:
Collaboration
As mentioned in several places around this site, it is the ability for all users to edit a page that distinguishes wiki. This is the very source of its power as a tool for information (also mentioned several times, Wikipedia is a great example). If a user stumbles across a topic they know a lot about, they can freely add to the page any information they please, making it a much more useful article for future researchers. Of course this feature is beneficial depending on how it's used. A defaced page can be annoying, but there are ways to fix it (see
AdministrativeHelp). By increasing the use of one user that edits the content the knowledge base of the web page has just doubled as you can see the growth of the pages knowledge base increase is exponential.
